Energy Assessor CPD

CIBSE Low Carbon Energy Assessors are widely recognised as experienced and highly competent in their field of expertise. In order to maintain and enhance their professionalism CIBSE LCEAs and Air Conditioning Inspectors are required to carry out 21 hours of continuing professional development activity every year.

CIBSE is required to strike off any LCEA or Air Conditioning Inspector who fails to maintain their professional development.

The CPD requirement is to carry out the full 21 hours of CPD activity within the calendar year of which 7 hours must be structured learning activity. You will be sent a reminder about updating your CPD record when you renew your membership each September and you have until 7 December to update your records. Any training taken through CIBSE Professional Learning or Mid Career College will be automatically entered on your CPD record.

Please note, that if you have applied for accreditation in 2009 and have already completed 21 hours of CPD of which 7 hours must be structured for this year, you need take no further action until 2010.
